The Australian Institute of Management is a member-serving organisation in the business of career enhancement.

AIM's vision is to be managers' career partner of first choice - our mission, to grow management and leadership excellence by supporting, developing, promoting and practising the profession of management at all levels.

Across Australia, the Institute adds capacity to managers by providing opportunities to connect, learn, develop know-how and gain recognition for practical management experience. We do this through a range of services business and management training, events and seminars, coaching and consulting, research and publications, and specialist bookshop and library services.

Nationally, AIM membership stands at approximately 25,000 - comprising 6,000 corporate partners, with the balance professional members.

History of the Institute

AIM was formed over sixty years ago as part of a national vision to assist managers to secure their future in the ever changing business environment.

The Northern Territory branch was established in Darwin in the mid-1970s, and later joined with the Queensland division to form AIM Qld & NT.
