Sponsorship

AIM's Sponsorship Philosophy

Each year the Australian Institute of Management provides the opportunity for a number of organisations to sponsor a variety of events, ranging from high profile gala nights and international speakers, to business networking events and special interest functions.

Sponsor relationships are central to AIM. When forming these relationships our intent is to develop enduring alliances, rather than building a large sponsorship pool.

Accordingly, sponsor contact with our market has meaning as AIM ensures that general advertising, exposure and editorial in our key communications is relevant, timely and influential. This provides our sponsors with an opportunity to share their message and connect with our members in an arena that is not crowded, and where their brand truly has weight.

AIM selects sponsors based on the synergies we share, including a commitment to innovation, management excellence and best practice.

The AIM Advantage - our unique point of difference

As an organisation, the Australian Institute of Management represents managers and business leaders throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory. More than providing a service, our members and the wider management community look to AIM as a benchmark for best practice, to offer guidance for individual and organisational development, and for opinions and guidance on current business issues and trends.

AIM is regarded as a credible, influential and unbiased industry representative by media and business people alike, and our sponsors and partners are viewed in the same credible light.

Our organisation spans metropolitan, regional and rural Queensland and the Northern Territory, with our core services allowing us to reach managers at all levels and in all industries. We do this through a suite of targeted communications which include local business networking events, face to face and telephone interaction, email and up to date publications.

Consequently, our competitive advantage lies in our broad audience, which includes managers at all levels, from all regions and across all industries. Having personal and corporate membership allows us to provide tailored services that meet core individual needs, as well as greater organisational needs.

Types of Sponsorship

Financial Investment

AIM offers sponsorship opportunities in the form of financial investment.  For every dollar invested, sponsors will receive strategic marketing benefits, exclusive to the Institute.

In-kind

AIM also offers sponsorship in-kind.  This is a unique agreement between both parties whereby companies exchange marketing and promotional services for other goods and services.

AIM Sponsored Programs and Events

AIM holds numerous events every year giving way to sponsorship opportunities.  These events are well known and highly regarded in the business community.

The Management Excellence Awards

The Management Excellence Awards is AIM’s premier program and one of Australia’s most prestigious business awards.

The Management Excellence Awards hold a high esteem in what seems like a plethora of state awards in Australia.  Unlike other awards, the MEAs celebrate individual contribution and achievements in business.  They give individuals the opportunity to be recognised in the business community as leaders who stand out from the crowd.

Each level of sponsorship for the MEAs includes an array of business development, brand awareness, marketing & communications and professional development benefits.

AIM offers opportunities to sponsor international speakers and special events.  Previous high profile guests include Stephen Lundin, world renowned innovator and author of FISH!, and CATS: The Nine Lives of Innovation, and internationally recognized executive coach - Lois Frankel, bestselling author of Nice Girls Don’t Get The Corner Office and Nice Girls Don’t Get Rich.

Every year the Institute also celebrates International Women’s Day with 1000 guests at the International Women’s Day Debate.  This well established Brisbane business event entails 6 secret debaters coming together to battle it out over thought provoking topics, in the spirit of advancing the status of women in business.

Each level of sponsorship for international speakers and special events includes an array of business development, brand awareness, marketing & communications and professional development benefits.
